This workshop will present the history of the Sacred Fire of Itzachilatlan, an organization based on American Indigenous Spiritual Tradition, which seeks the essence of all of the spiritual ceremonies of the Americas. “Itzachilatlan” comes from Nahuatl (the language spoken by the ancient Aztecs of Mexico), and means “Land of the Red Giants”, in reference to the American continent. In the first moment, the system of rituals developed by Sacred Fire will be briefly presented, touching on the proposal of each ceremony: Sacred Pipe Ceremony; Temazcal Ceremony; Half Moon Ceremony; Vision Quest; Sun Dance; Spirit Dance; Consecration of Relations (Baptism, Weddings, Funerals in sacred places, Orders, and Leader Consecration). Following this, Ehekateotl will speak a little about the Sacred Fire Alliance and the Daimista line of Cefluris, a relationship which was inaugurated in 2002, in Brazil, and reaffirmed through successive mutual visits between leaders, especially with Enio Staub, commander of the Ceu do Patriarca Daimista Community, in Florianopolis (SC). Finally, there will be discussion of the exchange between Sacred Fire and the Guarani indigenous village M’Biguac which uses ayahuasca in its traditional rituals, and whose members also participate in the ceremonies of Sacred Fire and of Santo Daime in Florianópolis.
