The Wine of the Souls is a very well done documentary.  Simple without being simplistic, the film, with its accessible language, not only contributes to the body of knowledge on the journies, profiles and perceptions of the foreigners who visit Brazil and the Amazon in search of the Santo Daime, but it also presents in a sensitive and interesting fashion the people and the Amazonian scene wherefrom this phenomenon is emerging.
