Ben de Loenen reports "Howard Lotsof, 'the Godfather of Ibogaine' passed away"

Dear all,At 6 p.m. New York time on the 31st of January, discoverer of Ibogaine's anti-addictive properties, Howard Lotsof, passed away quietly in the Staten Island University Hospital.His beautiful wife & best friend, Norma, was by right by his side. Howard Lotsof had been diagnosed with liver cancer last year and has continued his devotion to Ibogaine until his last days.Being a young heroin addict, in 1962 he discovered the effects of Ibogaine on acute opioid withdrawal and craving, and its psychotherapeutic potential coincidentally after taking it, allowing him to end his drug addiction.
