The work of Robert Forte

Lately I have been corresponding with Robert Forte, who has a very interesting carrer. He is looking into the possibilities of healing cancer with ayahuasca, and is developing a pilot project around the subject. I would like to share here some of his' history.Robert Forte studied the history of religion with Mircea Eliade at the University of Chicago, and the psychedelic experience with Stanislav Grof at Esalen. He has worked for two decades to help western society understand and benefit from the fruits of psychedelic mysticism. A former lecturer on psychology and religion at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and former director of the Albert Hofmann Foundation, he is the editor of Entheogens and the Future of Religion (1997, 2000), Outside Looking In (1998), a memorial volume for Timothy Leary, and the 1998 and 2008 editions of The Road To Eleusis: Unveiling the Secret of the Mysteries, by R.G Wasson, Albert Hofmann, and Carl Ruck.
